SOUTH PARIS – Rose M. Hersey of Rose’s Day Care has been accredited by the National Association for Family Child Care, a recognition earned by approximately 1,500 providers nationwide.

Providers undergo an intensive self-study result, collecting information from parents and doing a self-assessment. They also receive an on-site visit from an association trained to validate their self-study results. This information is then reviewed by a team of national experts. Accreditation is valid for three years.

Rose’s Day Care in South Paris serves 12 children, from infant to 5. Hersey has also received her Child Development Association and her Certificate of Quality from the Maine Department of Human Services, office of Child Care and HeadStart.
