LEWISTON – Catherine D. Connelly, 95, formerly of 117 Summit Ave., Lewiston, passed away on Sunday, June 26, at the d’Youville Pavilion, where she had been a resident for the past six years.

Born in Lewiston, on May 19, 1910, she was the daughter of Martin and Helen Wojdyla Dudzik.

In 1945, she married Nathaniel Connelly in New York, returning to Lewiston following his death 10 months later.

She was a lifetime member of St. Patrick’s Church, a member of the Rosary Sodality, Stella Maris, and the St. Patrick’s Choir. She traveled all over with the choir, including a trip to Rome, performing for and receiving an audience with Pope John Paul II.

She was an amazing cook, and loved to prepare Polish food for her friends and family members.

She is survived by a sister, Wanda O’Connell of Lewiston; and many nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by three brothers, Albert, Frank and Joseph Dudzik.
