LITCHFIELD – Madeleine G. Ouellette, 82, of 863 Minot Ave., Auburn, died suddenly Sunday evening, June 26, after a long illness, at the home of her son at Richmond Road in Litchfield.

She was born in Levis, Quebec, on July 24, 1922.

In her younger days, she was a well-known downhill ski racer in Canada and the United States. She was a devoted mother and homemaker who enjoyed cooking and gardening.

She was married to Clement J. Ouellette, who died in 1993.

She is survived by one son, David N. Ouellette of Litchfield; one daughter, Louise Perry of Auburn; two grandsons, David and Jason Ouellette, both of Litchfield.
