LEWISTON – Ruth Z. Durrah, 86, of 41 Pleasant St., Auburn, died Sunday, June 26, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Jay, July 3, 1918, the daughter of Everett G. and Delma F. Hathaway Burnham. She was employed for more than 30 years in the local shoe industry.

She enjoyed playing beano and cards, making arts and crafts and going for walks, and also enjoyed the company of her many cats, which were her pride and joy.

She is survived by a daughter, Hazel “Lexie” Cates of Lewiston; and three grandchildren, Donald, Maria and Dan Dimambro.

She was predeceased by a grandson, Ronald Dimambro in 1991.
