LEWISTON – Alice B. Gagne, 92, of 5 Jeffrey St., died Tuesday, June 28, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.
Born in St. Narcisse, Quebec, on Oct. 16, 1912, a daughter of George and Odelie Sylvain Blais, she was educated in Canadian schools.
She moved to Lewiston in 1923 and was married to Lucien J. Gagne. He died Dec. 20, 1985.
She was a member of Holy Cross Parish and Holy Cross Senior Citizens. She worked in the local shoe industry prior to her retirement.
She is survived by her sons, Leo Gagne of Lewiston, Romeo and his wife, Mary Rose Gagne, of Whittinsville, Mass., and Robert Gagne of Houston, Texas; her grandchildren, Michael Gagne, Diane and Rodney Wright, James and Lise Hudson, Daniel Gagne, Suzanne and Paul Boisvert, Andrew and Lisa Gagne, Rick and Cindy Evangelista, Kenneth and Doreen Gagne, and Ryan and Stacey Hennessey; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband; a daughter-in-law, Claudette Gagne; five sisters; and three brothers.
