Christopher A. A. van der Lugt of Wilton was among 517 seniors to receive bachelor’s degrees during the 139th commencement ceremony at Bates College, held Monday, May 30. Christopher formerly of Switzerland, graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in political science and a secondary concentration in history. He was elected to the College Key, an alumni organization recognizing academic standing, service and future promise. A member of the Bates student government and the debate team, he is a 2001 graduate of the Hill School, Pa., and is the son of Raoul and Ingri van der Lugt.
