It never ceases to amaze me how dishonest people can be. How can anyone find a pocketbook and not return it to the owner?
I don’t think they realize how stressful for a senior citizen it is to have to spend hours on the phone, running to the bank, replacing a Medicare card, Social Security, insurance, credit cards, etc. None of which is of any use to the person stealing, of course. The thief wants the money, but people carry many personal items that cannot be replaced.
I saw in the paper an honest person who found a sum of money and reported finding it. “A-plus” for that person.
I’d like to think that the person taking my purse at Wal-Mart on June 20 would like to help restore my faith in the human race.
