OXFORD – BT Pallet came from the losers’ bracket to capture top honors in the recent Bourque-Gammon-Corbett Memorial One-Pitch Softball Tournament.
The Palletmen lost their first game to The Landing, but then rattled off several victories to reach the finals against the unbeaten Landing. Pallet defeated Landing 28-17 to force a second and deciding championship game. The Palletmen raced to an early 9-1 lead and walked off with a 16-5 victory and the winning trophy.
Pitcher Rod McKenzie and shortstop Tim Holbrook were defensive standouts. Kenny Stevens sparked the offense with a .619 average. Other members of the championship squad are Ron Tierney, Heath Crocker, Dave Wagg, Don Bowen, Jamie King, Ed Morissette, Mike Gouldrup, Jason Parkin and Mike Gagne.

AUBURN – Earl Gardner walloped a traditional homer and Chris Allen legged out an inside-the-park job to propel Motor Home to a 17-7 victory over Coastal T’s Tuesday night.
