WILLINGTON, Conn. – Carlene O. (Dunn) Shaw, 75, of Willington, Conn., wife of the late Vaughan S. Shaw, who died Dec. 26, 2002, passed away Thursday, June 30, peacefully at home.

Born Nov. 8, 1929, in Connecticut, she lived in Lewiston until she graduated from the University of Maine and was wed in 1952.

She and her family lived in Ohio, Michigan, New York, finally settling in Connecticut in 1965.

She was employed by Pratt and Whitney Aircraft for a few years before moving to Ohio.

She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Utica, N.Y., Chapter.

She was an antique dealer, and enjoyed furniture refinishing, sewing, and especially cooking large gourmet meals for family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all.

She is survived by a large and loving family, including her three sons and three daughters-in-law, Jeffrey D. Shaw of Tavares, Fla., Dann B. and Jean Shaw of Hampton, N.H., Glenn A. and Joyce Shaw of Stafford Springs, Conn., and Mary K. Shaw of Willington, Conn.; a daughter and son-in-law, Dawn V. and Randall Polak of Somers, Conn.; her beloved grandchildren, Lindsey Lerro and her husband, Daniel, Amanda Polak, Erika Shaw, Lauren Shaw, Daniel Polak, and Cameron Shaw; and two great-grandchildren, Sofia Lerro and Daniel Lerro.

She was predeceased by a son, Vaughan “Pat” Shaw on Dec. 14, 2002; and her brother Duane Dunn.
