PARIS – The West Paris Public Library is accepting book donations for the annual book sale from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 6.

Books may be left at the library from 1:30 to 6 p.m. Mondays and Fridays or 1:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesdays. All books donated will be reviewed for possible addition to the library collection.

The proceeds will be used to benefit the library and its programs. Current programs include “Drop in for Dragons,” a summer reading program for elementary children held from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Wednesdays. A cookout will be held later in the afternoon on the fourth Wednesday of this month.

Patty Makley, librarian, has put together the program, which includes crafts and activities, to encourage reading.

The book review group meets at 6:30 p.m. the first Wednesday of each month, and Friends of the Library gather at 6:30 p.m. on the second Wednesday of the month. The trustees’ regular meeting date is the second Tuesday of the month, also at 6:30.

Anyone interested in the library or its activities is encouraged to drop in at any of the meetings.
