LEWISTON – In the Majors, Mike Morin’s Auto Center defeated Aubachon Hardware 6-1 June 21 in Elliot Ave. Little League action. Corbin Hyde pitched four innings and struck out eight batters for the win. Mekae Hyde hit a triple, while Tucker Beaudoin went 2-for-3 for Mike Morin’s.
D.A. Poussard Construction won 12-5 over Cross Insurance on June 24. Chris Madden threw eight strikeouts for the win on the mound. Cam Morin hit a two-run homer. Sam Morin hit a triple and a single, Colt Steele hit a double and a single, and Steyffen Hinkley and Coby Poussard each hit two singles. For Cross Insurances, Ryan Lemlin and Joe McKinnon were repeat hitters. Alex Parker pitched and played well in the field.
Mike Morin’s Auto Center came up with a 4-0 win over Poussard Construction on June 25. Mekaey Hyde pitched, striking out 10 batters, while hitting a homer and a triple, recording three RBIs. George Hopkins and Forbin Hyde each hit a single and had a walk. For Poussard, Coby Poussard pitched very well and there was good team defense. Austin Lee had the lone base hit.
For Minors, A. Scrapbooking Affair beat United 8-1 on June 25. Nick Boom and Evan Bourassa shared the win on the mound, combining for 14 strikeouts. Along with Zack McBride, Nick and Evan had big hits for the win. Brandon Stone was the big hitter for the United effort.
On June 28, A. Scrapbooking Affair won 3-1 over Wendys for Minor action. Nick Boom and Evan Bourassa again shared the win on the mound, this time combining for 12 strikeouts. Zack McBride and Nick Boom led the offense with doubles, while Madison Jalbert made a big defensive play to end the game in the bottom of the 5th. Spencer Simoneau pitched well for Wendy’s with seven strikeouts.
A. Scrapbooking Affair beat Rioux 3-0, on June 30, in the championship game. Nick Boom and Evan Bourassa had 15 strikeouts while in the mound. Madison Jalbert had the game winning 2 RBIs hit. Evan Bourassa, Nick Boom, and Zack McBride also had key hits. Parker Asselin pitched very well in the Rioux effort with six strikeouts. He also had two hits.
