RUMFORD – Laura M. Dolloff, R.N., 81, died Wednesday, July 6, at the Rumford Hospital, Rumford. She had been a lifelong resident of the Andover area.
She was born in Andover on Dec. 29, 1923, a daughter of Erwin and Frinda (Gordon) Miller, and graduated from Andover High School Class of 1942, and from Central Maine General Hospital School of Nursing in Lewiston Class of 1945.
She had worked at the Rumford Community Hospital and Central Maine General Hospital in Lewiston, and then as a private duty nurse for many years.
She was a member of the Calvary Bible Church and a former member of the Lone Mountain Grange.
She was an avid reader, especially mystery novels, and loved spending time with her family.
She was married in Andover, on July 24, 1955, to the late Oscar Dolloff. He died in Portland on May 10, 1980.
Survivors include two sons David E. Dolloff and wife, Twyla, of Andover, James O. Dolloff and wife, Kelly, of Marshfield, Mass.; a daughter, Anne Dolloff of Rumford and her companion, Brad Best, of Andover; seven grandchildren, Richard, Jennifer and Kristen Dolloff of New Port Richey, Fla., Camille and Victoria Dolloff of Marshfield, Mass., Debbie and Michael Dolloff of Andover.
