LOVELL – Local pianist Dan Moore will kick off the Brick Church Summer Music Series Thursday, July 14, with a concert of classical, pop and jazz music. The 7:30 p.m. concert, presented by the Lovell United Church of Christ, will be at the Brick Church for Performing Arts.
A resident of North Bridgton, Moore plays in a trio at the While Mountain Hotel and with a rock band known as the Underacheivers (intentionally misspelled); accompanies the Choral Arts of Portland; is former organist/choir director for the First Congregational Church, UCC, of Bridgton; and has performed in the Bach Festival at Christ Church in North Conway. He is also a member emeritus of the Provincetown Jug Band.
Also performing: Casco Bay Tummlers, July 21; Maine Brass Quintet, July 28; Jenny Lynd Robinson, soprano, with Aaron Robinson as accompanist, Aug. 4; and State Street Traditional Jazz Band, Aug. 11.
