I was delighted to read the wonderful article July 3 about the carriage trails in Acadia National Park. My husband and I had biked on some of the paths just a few days before. The article described them beautifully.

In addition to the spectacular views, we were treated to seeing a moose in the middle of one of the trails. We got off our bikes and waited while it decided which way it was going to go. What a treat.

The park is truly a gem. We are so fortunate to have it here in our state.
