FARMINGTON FALLS – The annual Farmington Falls Field Day will be held Saturday, July 16, at Philbrick Field. There will not be a parade this year.
A chicken barbecue cooked by Bob Gramlich will begin at 11:30 a.m. Hot dogs, sodas and baked goods will also be on sale.
Music by the Silver Seasons be presented from noon to 2 p.m. There will also be a pie raffle and games for children. The regular raffle will be held at 2 p.m. and a ball game by the “All Stars” from Farmington and Wilton will begin about noon. All are welcome.
Lake day planned
WELD – The Webb Lake Association will hold its annual Lake Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 16, at Stowell’s Beach on Webb Lake. The day will feature volleyball tournaments, craft booths, book sale and barbecue ribs with all the fixings.

Fishing contest
WELD – The Webb Lake Association will hold a fishing contest on Sunday, July 17, at Dummer’s Beach on Webb Lake. Registration, for a $1 donation, will be held from 7 to 9 a.m.
Fish must be in by 5 p.m. There will be three cash prizes awarded for the largest fish. For more information, call Paula Smith at 585-2316.
Annual picnic
RANGELEY – The second annual 15th District Masonic Association will hold its annual picnic starting at 10 a.m. Sunday, July 17, at Keirstead’s Campground on Sandy River Pond, Sandy River Plantation four miles north of Smalls Falls.
Those attending are asked to bring their own food and drinks. All Masonic bodies and friends are invited. The rain date is July 24.
Gospel concert
RANGELEY – Diane Muise of Auburn will present a concert of gospel music at 9 a.m. Sunday, July 17, at the Free Baptist Church. A professional singer for many years, Muise has toured across the United States and Canada. She is presently performing 150-200 concerts a year.
There is no admission charge; however, a freewill offering will be taken for the Muise Music Ministry.
Night of music
RANGELEY – An evening of music with four performances/four musical styles will be presented at 7 p.m. Saturday, July 16, at the Wilhelm Reich Museum Conference Center on Dodge Pond Road.
The concert includes two hours of rhythmic, fast-paced entertainment, featuring four musical performances, each emphasizing different instruments. Performers include jazz pianist Andy Kahn, fiddle players Mike Schrader and his daughters, Leah and Sarah, acoustic guitarist Mike Blythe and flutists Sara Lloyd and Sue Downes-Borko, joined this year by Marni Lawson and Lennie Yamashiro, appearing as “The Hot Airs” flute quartet.

Ministry sale
PHILLIPS – The Phillips Shared Ministry Women will have a sale of household articles and baked goods from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 16, at the new Avon Town House.
Household goods in clean, serviceable condition may be brought to the town house from 8:30 a.m. to noon Friday, July 15. Clothing is not included.

Church program
WILTON – The participatory program, Dancing the Gospel, will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, July 17, at the First Congregational Church of Wilton, United Church of Christ, 386 Main St. Participants will be instructed in movement and dance that illustrate Biblical themes.
Dancing the Gospel will be led by Michael Monahan of Farmington, who is a member of Dances of Universal Peace, a nationwide program. The event is open to all ages and there is no admission fee. Those who attend are invited to wear casual clothes suitable for creative movement and dance. For more information, phone the church at 645-2535.
