SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Estelle Carver Patrie Hobson, 84, of Syracuse, N.Y., passed away Saturday, July 9, at Van Duyn Home and Hospital.

Born in Portland, she was a Syracuse, N.Y., resident since 1952.

She retired in 1980 as a technical writer for Carrier Corp.

Surviving are three sons, Barry (Donna) Patrie of North Waterford, David (Joanne) Patrie of Syracuse, N.Y., and Richard (Betty) Hobson of Lafayette, Ala.; four brothers, Harry “Bunny” Carver, Raymond Carver and Donald Carver, all of Mexico, and Harold “Babe” Carver of St. Augustine, Fla.; two sisters, Alice Gallant of Worchester, Mass., and Barbara Naillis of Cheshire, Conn.; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
