LEWISTON – Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Croteau Sr. of Lewiston celebrated the Eagle rank advancement of their grandson, Joshua Copeland of East Petersburg, Pa. He is the son of George and Deborah Copeland and the brother of Rebecca Audrey, all of East Petersburg.

Copeland is a member of Boy Scout Troop 33 of East Petersburg, Pa. He received his Eagle rank at a ceremony on June 5. For his service project, Copeland refurbished the picnic tables in the East Petersburg Community Park that were damaged due to wear, weather and vandalism.

He has been a member of Troop 33 since 1999 where he entered at the rank of Webelo Scout. He was a member of a Cub Scout troop in Manheim Township from 1995 to 1999, where he advanced through the ranks to Webelo Scout before joining Troop 33.

Copeland has attended Camp Horseshoe, Camp Mack and Camp Bayshore for numerous events. He has also held many positions in the troop. He is also a Brotherhood of the Arrow member in good standing.

Copeland is a 2005 graduate of Hempfield High School in Landisville, Pa., and Brownstown Career and Technology Center. He attended the “Skills USA” national finals for photography in Kansas City, Mo. after winning the state finals in April.

This fall, he will attend Harrisburg Art Community College in Lancaster, majoring in photography. He lives in East Petersburg with his parents and sister.
