ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Robert H. Normand, 75, of Commonwealth Avenue, Attleboro, Mass., a retired chief petty officer of the U.S. Navy, died Monday, July 11, at home. He was the beloved husband of the late Pauline E. (Laliberte) Normand who died in 1976.

Born in Lewiston, on May 9, 1930, a son of the late Gustave and Zenaide (Lemay) Normand, he was raised and educated in Lewiston.

A veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in both the Korean conflict and the Vietnam War, he retired as a chief petty officer after 20 years of service. After retirement from the Navy, he was a shipping foreman for Drake’s Bakery in Mansfield, Mass., until retiring in 1990.

A resident of Attleboro, Mass., since 1976, he enjoyed watching boxing, and in later years enjoyed watching the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots.

He is survived by a son, Michael G. and his wife, Donna Normand, of Attleboro, Mass.; four daughters, Sandra L. Larochelle of Pottsboro, Texas, Pamela S. and her husband, David Brissette, of Litchfield, Paula A. and her husband, Scott Audette, of Scituate, R.I., and Laura D. and her husband, Thomas Dolan, of Attleboro, Mass.; eight grandchildren; and a sister, Muriel Charette of Lewiston.
