Farmington – Registered nurse Becky Bell has been appointed surgical services director at Franklin Memorial Hospital, according to Pam Ernest, FMH chief nursing officer.
In her new position, Bell will be responsible for clinical and administrative duties for the hospital’s operating room suite, ambulatory surgical unit, sterile processing unit and post anesthesia care unit.
Bell received her bachelor of science degree in nursing from the University of Southern Maine in 1991. She has 14 years of nursing, the first two years of which were spent on a 52-bed surgical unit at Maine Medical Center in Portland. She left her charge nurse role at Maine Medical Center in 1993 to return home to the Farmington area.
Before joining Franklin Memorial Hospital in 1998, she spent five years in home health nursing.
She lives in Weld with her husband, John, and son, Riley.
