FARMINGTON – A Farmington man was indicted on theft charges by the Franklin County grand jury Wednesday.

Phillip J. Rose, 28, was charged with theft and violation of conditions of release. He was arrested on March 29, after police said they found two stolen computers at Rose’s High Street apartment.

Detective Marc Bowering said Wednesday that Rose had stolen the computers from Franklin Memorial Hospital on March 22 and 27 while his wife was giving birth there. At the time of his arrest, Rose admitted to taking the machines with the intent to sell them, police said.

Rose was on bail for motor vehicle violations at the time of his arrest and the grand jury also indicted him on a charge of violating conditions of release.
