FARMINGTON – Teddy, the pet of the week, is a handsome Maine Coon mix, with brown and tan markings in his long hair and plumed tail.
Teddy will run to greet anyone entering a room. He loves to be held, cuddled, kissed, hugged and carried around. When he is held, he will rub his nose against the person holding him and give kisses. If he’s not picked up, he will circle around legs and purr anyway.
Although he has a laid-back temperament, he does love to bat jingle balls around. Teddy has always used his litter box and gets along well with other cats.
Teddy has always been one of the staff’s favorites, but the staff would much prefer he be adopted into a good home.
Kayla, a shepherd/hound mix that has been here since last August, has finally found a loving home and is doing well, staff said.
New dogs at the shelter include a male pit bull mix found in Madrid, a French bull dog found in Chesterville and a male beagle mix found in Strong.
