NORTH MONMOUTH – Veronica Mae Mosher, 80, of North Monmouth, died Monday, July 11, at MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta, after a short stay.
She was born in North Jay, Oct. 20, 1924, the daughter of Richard and Beatrice (Cook) White. She was raised in Wilton and spent a good part of her childhood in the town library, as she had a passion for reading.
She was married to Philip L. Mosher on July 25, 1942, in East Wilton.
She loved being a homemaker. Some of her hobbies were sewing, crocheting and gardening. She also loved camping with her family and traveling to the ocean.
She was employed at Tex Tech, Hallowell Shoe and Chicks Apple Orchard. She was a member of the Winthrop Grange, American Legion Auxiliary and the VFW.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Philip L. Mosher; two daughters, Kathleen Frost and her husband, Clarence, of Winthrop, and Donna Beaule and her husband, Ronald, of North Monmouth; four grandchildren, Tambrey Gile of East Winthrop, Lauriston P. Cochran Jr., and his wife, Judy, of Canaan, Michele Irving of Lewiston, and Michael Beaule and his wife, Amy, of Sabattus; four stepgrandchildren, George Frost and his wife, Sara, of Winthrop, Wanda Gallant and her husband, Maurice, of Winthrop, Wanita Frost of West Gardiner and Lou Frost of Winthrop; five great-grandchildren, Jessica Irving, Erika Gile, Josh Hanson, Cole Beaule, Gage Beaule and one on the way; five stepgreat-grandchildren, Denise, Jamie, Georgie, Angela and Danielle; two sisters-in-law, Welma Barrett and Janice White; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; two brothers, Cecil and Donald White; and two sisters, Irene Besson and Arlene Burgess.
