MEXICO – Yvonne M. Deraspe, 80, of Kimball Avenue, died Tuesday, July 12, at her home with her loving family at her side.

She was born in Rumford, on April 17, 1925, a daughter of Charles and Edith (Legere) Richard. She attended St. Johns School.

She was employed for several years with Oxford Paper Co.

She was a communicant of St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, and was a member of the choir and the church guild.

She was an avid bowler. She enjoyed shopping, going out to eat with her friends, trips to Las Vegas, walking, playing cards, summers with her family at Garland Pond and most recently her dog, “Gucci.”

She is survived by four children, Mark F. Deraspe of Roxbury Pond, Linda M. Deraspe of Mexico, Susan Y. Aylward and husband, John, of Rumford, and David H. Deraspe and wife, Angela M., of Hollis, three brothers, Michael Richard and wife, Betty of Connecticut, Alan Richard of Connecticut and Rene Richard of Lisbon; three sisters, Lita Glazier of Lisbon, Dorilla Richard of Rumford and Viola Chiasson of Lewiston; seven grandchildren, Ryan, Brittany, Natalie, Adriana, Heather, Ashley and Scott; and one great-grandchild, Lindsey.

She was predeceased by her husband of 43 years, Eugene F. “Tanny” Deraspe in 1993.
