EAST HEBRON – Laurice E. Desrosier, 81, of Bryant Road, Hebron, died July 13, after a brief illness.
She was born in Hebron, on Oct. 4, 1923, the daughter of Lester G. and Beatrice (Cramp) Packard. She was educated in local schools and lived in Hebron for more than 50 years, where she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Hebron Fire Department.
She married George Desrosier on Nov. 23, 1946, and he died in 1987.
She was a mother to all the kids in town; she just loved people. She had been active in the 4H for more than 29 years and she spent a great deal of time at her daughter Iris’ farm, helping with the animals and chores.
She was an avid quilter, loved crafts, and cooking and baking.
She is survived by five sons, Wayne Desrosier and his wife, Sandra, of Hebron, Adrian Desrosier and his companion, Barbara, of Hebron, Bruce Desrosier and his wife, Sheila (who was her best friend and will be always loved by her), of Hebron, Lucien Desrosier and his wife, Valerie, of Auburn, and Galen Desrosier and his companion, Linda, of Sherman Mills; four daughters, Carol Berry and her husband, Sidney, of West Paris, Iris Pulkkinen of Minot, Beatrice Christensen and her husband, Jay, of Lebanon, and Bernice Landers and her fiance, Scott Griffin, of West Paris; 24 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren, with three on the way.
