Rex Rhoades has falsely categorized all creation stories under the implied category of myth (July 13). The public zoo in Tulsa, Oklahoma, is taking a bold step in actually acknowledging “creation” as a plausible explanation for the natural world.

Mr. Rhoades conveniently disregards past and current scientists who have not only acknowledged, but embraced the Biblical creation account as the basis for their scientific study and research. Such past greats as Copernicus, Newton and Galileo were theocentric in their scientific study and are still considered some of the greatest scientists of all time. Surely Mr. Rhoades would not discount their discoveries as unscientific because of that?

Today, Dr. Kenneth Ham and Dr. Jay Wyle are two brilliant and outspoken scientists who have devoted their lives and research to showing that creation scientists are not only true scientists, but that Biblical creation is scientific.

Perhaps Mr. Rhoades – or should I say, Dr. Rhoades? – should debate one of these learned men.

Anecdotally, my sister, a brilliant microbiologist, found that her genetic research at Tufts University not only confirmed the existence of a creator, but that by studying the unseen (to the naked eye) world of microbiology, she found that there is, indeed, a design and order to all that we see, only explained by the existence of a creator, also known as God.
