WOOLWICH – Muriel L. McCaffrey, 90, of Old Stage Road, died Friday, July 15, at her home.
She was born in Bath, Dec. 19, 1914, a daughter of Clarence I. and Myrtle (Erskine) Lane. She attended Bath schools and graduated from Morse High School in the Class of 1933.
She married Harrison N. McCaffrey on Oct. 1, 1960. They made their home in Woolwich and had been summer residents of Damariscotta Lake for many years.
She was employed by the Bath National Bank for several years, but had been a homemaker for most of her life. She was a committed contributor to numerous civic and non-profit causes.
She is survived by several cousins, including Barbara Lane Driscoll and Jean Lane Benson of Poland; her lifelong friend, Florence Jewell; friend, Linda Austin; loyal caregivers, Carlene Wright and Patricia A. Connors; and a stepson, Harry C. McCaffrey.
She was predeceased by her husband, Harrison N. McCaffrey, on Sept. 2, 1990.
