NORWAY – The summer hours for the Stephens Volunteer Services Thrift Shop are in effect.

From Memorial Day until after Labor Day, the hours for shopping and dropping off donations are 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday.

The Thrift Shop, located on Danforth Street, has been providing the area with clean, slightly used clothing, household goods, toys, decorations and knickknacks for more than 50 years.

A volunteer group of more than 38 people sort, price, arrange and sell the items that are donated. All funds raised at the Thrift Shop are donated to Stephens Memorial Hospital.

“We so glad that we can help Stephens Memorial and provide a needed service for many in our community,” Goodwin said.

Stephens Volunteer Services is the volunteer arm of Western Maine Health Care Corp., a member of the MaineHealth Family.
