ANDOVER – The Andover Historical Society will hold its 54th annual Flower Show from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6. The categories are as follows:

The Grange, arrangement in wooden container; Farm Bureau, arrangement using farm implement; 4-H Club, arrangement in basket; King’s Daughters, houseplants; Girl and Boy Scouts, 12 years and younger, their choice; Pineland Ski Club Snow Valley Sno-Goers, white flowers.

Also, Campfire Girls, wildflowers; Historical Society, arrangement in antique container; K of P Sisterhood, single specimens (bottles provided); Service Circle, cup and saucer arrangement; Alumni Association, in memory of someone special; Olde Home Days, entrant’s choice; Ellis River Riders, herbs and grasses; Friday Club, arrangements by professionals.

Mountain greenery and accessories are permitted in all entries except single specimen.

Entries will be received between 5:30 and 8 p.m. Friday. Doors will be closed during judging.

Doors will be open to public from 11:30 to 4 p.m. Saturday.

Entries are to be picked up between 4 and 5:30 p.m. Saturday.

Awards will be given for first, second, third, honorable mention, best of show and judges’ award. Professional florists are invited to enter in categories 4, 9 and 14 only; these entries are not eligible for the best of show award.
