PERU – The fourth bi-annual Jamison-Wood reunion was held at the Peru American Legion on July 9, with about 70 people attending. Activities included horseshoes, children’s games and raffles.
Those traveling the furthest were Robert and Trish Boothby and family from North Carolina. There were people attending from Pennsylvania and Connecticut, with the rest from all over Maine.
Those winning gifts, donated by Rita Cunningham, Cindy Bouch and Pauline Jamison, were: adult door prize, Grace Jamison; children’s door prize, Nikayla Touchette; 50/50, Denise Dyke; hat, Dottie Sawyer, centerpiece, Janice Forgette; kitchen item, Erica Jamison; wallet and key, Denise Oakes; hand massager, Alan Jamison; radio, Janice Forgette; foot massager, Theresa Lemay; food server, Mabel Horne; NASCAR 20 car, Crystal Touchette; kitchen item, Erica Jamison.
Denise Dyke donated the 50/50 raffle back to the family, and Roddy and Erica Jamison watched the tables. There were prayers for departed family members, prayers for the people in London, prayers for the armed forces overseas and a moment of silence for all.
