FARMINGTON – Louise is an affectionate kitty given up by her owner, who had too many cats. The Franklin County Animal Shelter staff knows little about her past, but they do know she had a couple of litters and was caring with her kittens. They also know she does well with other cats, because her previous owner had 15.
Louise was overwhelmed by all the new sights and smells at the shelter, and, at first, she hid in the back of her cage and would come out to get attention from people. She is now making herself right at home. Louise now runs around with the other cats, loves to be patted and held and is just as affectionate as any other kitty.
Anyone looking for a highly adjustable and loving kitty should check out Louise, who is looking for a great home.
Recent pet of the week Teddy has been adopted to a wonderful home.
A new dog at the shelter is a female black lab from Farmington.
The shelter will host its first Birthday Bash at the Meeting House Park on Saturday, Aug. 13, in honor of many cats that are having their one-year anniversaries at the shelter.
