LEWISTON – Lorraine M. Lachance, 73, of 23 Homefield St., passed away Wednesday, July 20, after a courageous battle with cancer, at Ste. Marguerite d’Youville Pavilion, where she had been a patient for the past week.

Born in Lewiston, Feb. 21, 1932, a daughter of Alphonse P. and Cecile A. Janelle Morin, she attended Lewiston schools, graduating from Lewiston High School in the Class of 1951.

She was married to Roger Lachance on April 16, 1954, and he died July 1, 1995. She was a loving wife and mother, and tremendously loved spending time with her grandchildren. She looked forward to seeing her first great-grandchild.

Some of her favorite times were spent with family at Old Orchard Beach, going to Pat’s Pizza on Friday night with her sister, doing puzzles and going to garage sales.

She is survived by her daughters, Susan Anctil and her husband, Ross, of Lewiston, and Gail Lepage and her husband, Michael, of Blackstone, Mass.; her grandchildren, Jamie Heath and husband, Will, Mary Anctil and her fianc, Nick Morgan, Angela Lepage and her fianc, Andrew Weldon, and Stephanie, Benjamin and Jennifer Lepage; her sister, Pauline Fournier of Lewiston; and her brother, Gerry Morin and his wife, Rita, of Lewiston.
