AUGUSTA – Yvonne C. Worth, 83, of Dresden, passed away peacefully at Glenn Ridge in Augusta, on July 17.
She was born on June 5, 1922, in Lewiston, daughter of the late Emile and Anna (McCarthy) Marcoux. She graduated from Lewiston High School and soon after married her husband, the late Larry Worth. Together they raised their son, Brian.
She had been a resident of the area for most of her life, until she joined her son in Dresden.
She was a member of the Canadian Legion Auxiliary and Mt. Olivet 29, the Order of the Eastern Star.
In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, and as she got older, she developed a taste for travel.
She will be sadly missed by her son, Brian and his wife, Noreen Worth, of Dresden; three grandsons, Chris Worth of Searsport, Keith Worth of Pittston and Kevin Worth of Dresden; three sisters, Bette Scalia of Palm Beach, Fla., Dora Dick of Palm Beach, Fla., and Shirley Thiriet of Lisbon; two brothers, Paul Marcoux of Virginia and Ronald Marcoux of Portsmouth, N.H.
She was predeceased by Daniel Marcoux; and a longtime companion, Alton Bradbury, formerly of Lisbon.
