JAY – Announcement is made of the engagement of Kayla Downs of Jay and Clayton Matthews III of Turner.
Miss Downs is the daughter of Lorna and Michael Burhoe of Jay and William Bisson of Peru. She is a recent graduate of the University of Maine, with a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and physical education. She is currently seeking a full-time teaching position.
Mr. Matthews is the son of Nancy Matthews of Harpswell and Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Matthews Jr. of Turner. He is currently a student at the University of Maine at Orono, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. He is currently employed at U.S. Cellular in Bangor.
The wedding will be held at 1 p.m. on Oct. 8 at the Great Outdoors in Turner.
