AUBURN – The wedding of Jennifer May Shanning and John Louis Mayhan II was held at 6 p.m. on April 16 at Lost Valley in Auburn. Judy Akers, notary public, officiated at the ceremony.
Mrs. Mayhan is the daughter of Harold and Nancy Shanning Sr. of West Poland. Mr. Mayhan is the son of John and Nancy Mayhan of Harrison.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. Nicole Mayhan, daughter, was honor attendant, and Shannon Shanning, sister-in-law of the bride, was bridesmaid.
Troy Mayhan served as best man for his brother and usher was Harold Shanning Jr., brother of the bride.
A reception followed at Lost Valley, after which the couple traveled to Cancun in Mexico. They are residing in West Poland.
The bride is a 1986 graduate of Edward Little High School and is employed at Ken’s Yamaha in Norway.
The bridegroom is a 1988 graduate of Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School and is employed at Dielectric in Raymond.
