Chase-Colburn

WILTON – The 19th annual Chase-Colburn reunion was held July 17 outside the Reunion Building at Kineowatha Park.

The treasurer’s report was read by Charity Millett and secretary’s report by Shannon Smith. Officers elected included president, Charity Millett; vice president, Amylynn Smith; treasurer, Montris Tyler; and secretary, Shannon Smith.

The committee honored the following: oldest person, Fay Voter, 90; youngest, Curtis Libby, 3; nearest to attend, Darlene Tyler, Corrigan Avenue, Wilton; and farthest, McKenzy and Corbin Breton from Massachusetts.

The auction was started with Shannon Smith as auctioneer assisted by helpers. People had a chance to bid on items that members brought. The money helps pay for reunion expenses.

A luncheon was held and relatives socialized. There were many outside activities. A balance of $164.06 was left after all the expenses were paid. The guessing game was won by McKenzy Breton and Chelsey Tyler.

Relatives attended from Wilton, Auburn, Weld, Peru, Jay, Strong, Farmington, Turner and Massachusetts.

Adams family

WILTON – The 10th reunion of the descendants of Alton and Ethel (York) Adams was held July 16 at Kineowatha Park.

A day of socializing and activities was held, starting with coffee and breakfast. A potluck dinner was served at 1 p.m followed by the business meeting.

President Andy Goodwin called the meeting to order. A memorial rememberance was held, with Vera Corey reading the names of the deceased family members followed by a moment of silence.

Candy Goodwin reported on the family cookbook. High school graduates this year were Katie Averill, Jessica Davis and Tyler Dean. College graduates were Marcus Corey, Jed and Becky Malcore.

It was decided to hold future reunions at Kineowatha Park. Next years it will be held July 22.

The family statistical report included four births, three marriages and no deaths. There are now 125 direct descendants, 166 including spouses, and 11 direct descendant deaths.
