LYNDON CENTER, Vt. – Lyndon State College undergraduates Darryl Johnson and James Therrien, both of Wales, have been named to the dean’s list at Lyndon State College for the spring semester.

John, a senior meteorology/private industry track major, is the son of Darryl and Karen Johnson, also of Wales.

Therrien is a sophomore majoring in recreation resource and ski resort management and is the son of James and Janice Therrien, also of Wales.

Lyndon State College sophomore David Dumais of Lisbon has been named to the dean’s list at Lyndon State College for the spring semester. Dumais, a graphic design major, is the son of John and Constance Dumais also of Lisbon.

Lyndon State College sophomore Brittany Brown of Oxford has been named to the dean’s list at Lyndon State College for the spring semester. Brown, a design and graphic communications major, is the daughter of Randall and Cynthia Brown, also of Oxford.

For inclusion on the dean’s list, a student must have completed at least 12 graded credits with no incomplete or failing grades and a minimum grade-point average of 3.50.

Clark University

WORCESTER, Mass. – Melanie R. LaMore of Lewiston has been named to first honors on the Clark University dean’s list. This selection marks outstanding academic achievement during the spring 2005 semester. Melanie is a member of Clark University’s Class of 2005 who studies psychology. Melanie also attended Lewiston High School. To be eligible for first honors, students must have a grade point average of 3.8 or higher, of a maximum of 4.3 (all A+s).

Norwich University

NORTHFIELD, Vt. – The following students from the central Maine area have been recognized on the dean’s list at Norwich University for maintaining a 3.0 or higher GPA for the spring 2005 semester:

Jonathan Rice, from Brunswick is majoring in history; Kimberly Tuttle, from Lewiston is majoring in architectural studies; Sara Tuttle, from Lewiston is majoring in nursing; Jenifer Donovan, from Litchfield is majoring in biology; Alycia Pushard, from Litchfield is majoring in sports medicine/athletic training.

PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Plymouth State University has named 467 students to the President’s List for achieving a grade point average of 3.7 or better during the spring semester of 2004-2005 academic year.

Students named to the President’s List include:

Jillian Lee Cook of Wales, Michelle Diane Dubois of Auburn, Nicholas David Gagnon and Jenny Roxanne Norton of Minot, Derek Adrian Guimond and Kayi Apke Teko of Lewiston.

MANCHESTER, N.H. – The following students from Maine have been named to the dean’s list for the spring 2005 semester at Southern New Hampshire University in Manchester. To be eligible for this honor, a student must compile an academic grade point average of 3.0 – 3.49.

Durham: Sheila Bergeron, business administration; Gray: Trisha Norton, business studies; Lisbon: Melissa Flores and Rachel Nenna, English language and literature; Topsham: Renee Cole, business studies and Alexandra Stankowitz, business administration.

University of R.I.

KINGSTON, R.I. – The University of Rhode Island has announced the area students who have been named to the dean’s list for achieving a high academic standard in the 2005 spring semester.

Eligibility for the dean’s list requires a student to carry 12 or more credits in a particular semester and achieve a 3.3 quality point average, based on the letter grades received during the term.

When part-time students have a cumulative 12 credits and achieve a 3.3 quality point average, their names will be listed.
