EAST DIXFIELD – A Wild West Weekend performance schedule is planned for this weekend, July 29, 30 and 31, at Countryfolk Music Theatre, Route 2. The public is invited to the free event.

International country entertainer Stevie Cee of Biddeford will headline the weekend. Cee has entertained throughout Europe, Australia and the USA.

He will join more than 50 country music musicians, including Nashville recording artist Ron Wayne Atwood, who are gathering for music, dancing, gunfighter re-enactments and whip-cracking demonstrations.

Activities will begin Friday, July 29, with an “Earlybird” country jam session from noon to 5 p.m. on Stage 1 followed by a variety of entertainers from 5:50 to 9 p.m.

On Stage 2 Friday from 9 to 11 p.m. the Crosbys with Barry Wood will provide music for a dance.

An earlybird country jam session will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday and continuing until 11 a.m., with country music performers scheduled throughout the afternoon and evening, ending with a Saturday Night Hoedown dance with Blais and Bronishsunday from 9 to 11 p.m.

A gospel blessing hour at 11 a.m. will start the activities on Sunday followed by musical performers throughout the afternoon, concluding at 6 p.m.

A potluck meal will be held on Saturday and Sunday, and those attending are asked to bring a favorite dish to share. The meal will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday and at 1 p.m. Sunday. Free chuckwagon beans will be available all weekend and a chili cook-off will also be held at 1 p.m. Sunday.

Countryfolk Music Theatre projects are always free and open to the public but any donations given to them support the Countryfolk Youth Music Scholarship Project. For more information, call 645-4875.
