WOODSTOCK – The Woodstock Historical Society held a flea market on July 16. About 45 visitors signed the guest book in the museum.
Ruth Cox and Elaine Roberts tended the society table in the parking lot while Paul and Vicki Billings set up their table. Joyce Howe sold chances on her loon wall hanging.
In the museum, Curator Larry Billings, President Mary Billings and Annella Burnham greeted guests. An exhibit table on Indian women was featured along with an oil portrait of a man and a sculpture from the society’s collections. Two vases of flowers from the Billings family garden and some artificial flowers decorated the hall.
The next society event will be the annual History Day with a craft fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 6. There will also be demonstrations of old handiwork.
The museum is open from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturdays. All are welcome.
