LEWISTON – Cynthia B. Waugh, 63, died Saturday, July 30, with family by her side, at Central Maine Medical Center, Lewiston. She had resided in Statesboro, Ga.
She was born in West Bethel on June 23, 1942, a daughter of Franklin and Doris (Smith) Burris, and graduated from Gould Academy in Bethel in 1961.
She enjoyed doing needlepoint, cross-stitching, quilting and knitting, was an avid reader, and loved spending time with her family. She will be sadly missed by her dog, Ginger.
She was married in Rumford on Sept. 24, 1977, to Wilfred J. Waugh, who survives of Statesboro, Ga.
Other survivors include her father, Franklin Burris, of Indialantic, Fla.; two daughters, Heather Hansen of Cape Elizabeth and Cheryl Lowman and husband, Dean, of Gastonia, N.C.; two sons, Brian Dickson and wife, Tammy, of Palm Bay, Fla., and Jeffrey Dickson and wife, Donna, of Lemore, Calif.; a stepson, Jamie Dickson and his companion, Judy Van Steemburg, of Portland; six grandchildren; five sisters, Gloria Hopkins and husband, David, of St. Augustine, Fla., June Blankenship of Indialantic, Fla., Mary Lockwood and husband, Jon, of Akin, S.C., Linda Watson and husband, Tom, of Kearney, Neb., and Margaret Wilson and husband, Jim, of Valencia, Calif.; and a brother, Franklin Burris Jr. and wife, Janet, of Solon, Iowa.
