LEWISTON – The regular monthly meeting of the Andy Valley Softball Umpires’ Association will be held Wednesday, August 3 at 8 p.m. at the Multi-Purpose Center.

LEWISTON -New England Home Mortgage picked up 2 more wins during the weekend to run its American Legaue record to 13-1.

Friday, Don Michaud hurled a shutout and went 3-3 at the plate as NE blanked Scott Thayer Auto 17-0. Ray Berube and Joe Strout both knocked in 3 runs. Marc Robichaud and Scott Hamilton drilled 2 hits each.

Sunday, Mortgage beat L-A G-Unit 8-5 as Michaud again gained the mound win and went 3-3. Dave Sands also went 3-3 and drove in 3 runs. Marc Frechette and Josh Cole were repeat hitters and Joe Bailey had a 2-RBI hit.
