NEW GLOUCESTER – Four new leaders were recently nominated to join the board of trustees for Opportunity Farm for Boys to Girls.
Curtis M. Scribner Jr. of Portland is a licensed clinical social worker and family therapist. He is employed by Maine Medical Center, but has also worked with Sweetser, Jackson Brook and Hurricane Island’s Outward Bound Program.
Maryanne Vitalius of Yarmouth owns a private practice primarily focusing on adolescent and adult psychotherapy, group therapy, eating disorders, women’s group and marital therapy. Both will serve on the program committee for the farm.
Kerry R. Courtice of Portland, vice president/senior financial adviser for Merrill Lynch, joins the board and the fund-raising committee. Courtice is a member of the board of trustees of Kents Hill School and is a member of the investment committee of Planned Parenthood of Northern New England.
Thomas L. Griffin of Yarmouth is a retired executive from the paper industry. He worked for Great Northern Paper for more than 25 years and recently retired from his position as executive vice president at Champion Paper. His primary role on the Opportunity Farm board will be in the finance and investment area.
