FARMINGTON – The pet of the week at the Franklin County Animal Shelter is Moe, a handsome medium-haired young adult cat.

He is one of the friendliest cats at the shelter, often greeting the public with outstretched paws. He does that while waiting to be picked up and cradled like a child. He loves to snuggle, but he is also one of the most playful cats as well.

Moe will play with any type of toy, whether it is store-bought or imaginary. He loves his jingle balls but also will play a good game of pounce with an imaginary object.

Anyone looking for a cat that will keep them entertained should check out Moe.

New dogs at the shelter include a tan male pit bull mix found in Kingfield and a tan-and-white hound mix found in Strong.

Kitten season is here and the shelter needs donations of cat food, litter, toys and paper towels.
