STRONG – Public memorial services for Ms. Peary were held Friday morning at the Strong United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Gayle Holden officiating. Her daughters, Penny, Teresa and Judy, each offered their own gifts to her service in song, poetry and personal remembrances. A favorite family hymn, “Amazing Grace,” was offered as well as the unison reading of Psalm 23. The scripture reading was Psalm 139, gospel reading was Matthew 5: 3-10 and the closing prayer was “The Lord’s Prayer.” Following services, all were welcomed to the church vestry for a reception hosted by the Women’s Fellowship. Arrangements were in the care of the Wiles Remembrance Center, Farmington.
