LEWISTON – Corey G. Winchenbach, 35, a resident of Walnut Street, Lewiston, formerly of Waldoboro, died suddenly Thursday, Aug. 4, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Lewiston .
He was born Dec. 22, 1969, in Rockland, the son of Eugene F. Winchenbach and Sylvia Doherty Winchenbach, and attended Medomak Valley High School. He received his GED, then graduated from Central Maine Community College in 2004, where he earned his associate degree in mechanics.
He worked as a fisherman on several boats out of New Bedford, Mass.
Corey loved to spend time with his son, Damian, playing cards, and burning CDs on his computer system.
Survivors include his mother, Sylvia Winchenbach, of Waldoboro; his father and stepmother, Eugene and Bonnie Winchenbach, of Nobleboro; a son, Damian Winchenbach, of Warren; brothers, Steven Winchenbach, Duane Winchenbach, and Scott Winchenbach and his wife, Judy, all of Waldoboro; paternal grandmother, Beatrice Winchenbach, of Waldoboro; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
