FARMINGTON – Police responding to a call for help found a North Street man dead and his girlfriend unresponsive Friday morning.

Police Chief Richard Caton III said Raymond Wisniewski, 43, was found dead inside Blueberry Hill apartment No. 4 at 10:30 a.m.

Susan Kreitzman, 44, was taken to Franklin Memorial Hospital, where her condition was listed as serious Friday night, according to a nursing supervisor.

Caton said the couple showed no obvious signs of trauma or drug abuse and the apartment didn’t show signs of forced entry. The cause of death is under investigation.

“We’re hoping the best for Susan and that she can give us some answers,” he added.

Three children, ages 15, 13 and 2, were home when police arrived. Police believe one of the older children called police. They were temporarily placed with friends, Caton said.
