FARMINGTON – A woman who was found unresponsive in her apartment Friday was awake and alert Monday, Farmington Detective Marc Bowering said. Susan Kreitzman spoke with him for about a half-hour in a hospital’s intensive care ward Monday morning, he said.
Kreitzman, 44, was found unresponsive but alive about 10:30 a.m. in Blueberry Hill apartment No. 4 with her partner, Raymond Wisniewski, 43, who was pronounced dead at the scene. Kreitzman was taken to Franklin Memorial Hospital, where she was listed in stable condition Monday evening and had been moved from intensive care.
Police Chief Richard Caton III said it seems alcohol consumption combined with several legally prescribed drugs was the cause of the incident.
“It appears to be unintentional,” Caton said Monday morning.
The cause of Wisniewski’s death is still to be determined by the state medical examiner’s office. Results from toxicology and blood-alcohol tests could take three to four months due to a backlog, according to a representative for the medical examiner in Augusta.
Three children, ages 15, 13 and 2, were at the apartment Friday morning and were temporarily placed with acquaintances. Caton believes one of the older children made the 911 call.
