NASHUA, N.H. – Robert Eugene Parker, 74, of 17 Raven St., Nashua, N.H. died at his home, on Monday morning, Aug. 8.

He was born in Rumford, on Dec. 3, 1930, a son of the late Lyndall and Emily (Hachey) Parker. He was a longtime resident of Nashua, N.H.

He was the husband of Beverly (Doten) Parker, whom he married on Aug. 28, 1954. They shared 50 years of marriage.

He worked for Improved Machinery for 36 years and Ingersoll-Rand.

He enjoyed visiting with friends and shut-ins, and had volunteered at the Nashua Soup Kitchen for 20 years. He also enjoyed golfing, bowling and skiing.

From 1950 to 1954, he served in the U.S. Navy. While serving in the Navy, he was always stationed on an aircraft carrier.

He was a member of the Christian Bible Church of Nashua, N.H.

He graduated from Edward Little High School in Maine and Maine Vocational Technical College with an associate degree.

In addition to his wife of 50 years, survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Sue Parker of Loudon, N.H., and Tech. Sgt. Dan and Gloria Parker, stationed with the Air Force in Las Vegas, Nev.; one grandchild, Kristie Clark of Loudon, N.H.; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Carol Parker-Coleman and her husband, Win Coleman, of Auburn, and Joline Parker Rousseau of Florida; a brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Cora Parker of Rochester, N.H.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
