MECHANIC FALLS – Lillian R. Wheeler, 80, of Mechanic Falls, died Tuesday, Aug. 9, at her home.

She was born in Malden, Mass., on June 13, 1925, the daughter of Alfred and Mae Bonney Lamphier. She attended schools in Malden, Mass.

She had been employed at Marcal Paper Co., Stride Rite and she retired from Pineland. She was a member of the American Legion Post 150 Auxiliary.

She enjoyed playing bingo, cards and spending time with her family and her dog, Maggie.

She is survived by her children, Catherine Floyd of Malden, Mass., Cathy Adamson and her husband, Steve, of Mechanic Falls, Randall Camic of California, Anne Wheeler of Alma, Steven Wheeler of Mechanic Falls, L. Frances Smith of Oxford, Stanley Camic and his wife, Sherry, of Greene, and Susan Beaule of Freeport; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Helen Donahue of Malden, Mass., Margaret Doherty of Charlestown, Mass., and Agnes Clark of Wilmington, Mass.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Randall Camic, in 1964; her second husband, Leo J. Wheeler, in 1997; a son, Edward Camic, in 1996; three brothers; and a son-in-law, Daniel Smith.
