FARMINGTON – SAD 9 directors approved the nomination of Todd Demmons of Smithfield on Tuesday as the Mt. Blue Middle School assistant principal and athletic director, Superintendent Michael Cormier said Wednesday.
Demmons is currently the student projects coordinator for Averill High School and Alfond Middle School at Good Will-Hinckley in Hinckley, Cormier said. Demmons was chosen from 15 candidates for his experience and background. He is currently certified as an assistant principal and is finishing his master’s degree in educational leadership, he said.
The two-year contract was approved Tuesday with a first-year salary of $52,000, Cormier said. Demmons replaces Monique Poulin, who has transferred to the high school as an assistant principal.
