Artisans meet

LIVERMORE FALLS – Local artisans will meet at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 15, at the gazebo. Any artist in the surrounding communities who may be interested in a local gallery is invited to attend. For more information, call Sherry Judd at 897-3117 after 5 p.m.

Weekend program

WELD – The weekend program at Mt. Blue State Park will feature the screening of the movie, “Alaska,” at 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 12, at the Amphitheater. On Saturday, Jim Albert, mountaineer, will give a slide show presentation, “Hiking Kilimanjaro,” at 8 p.m. at the Amphitheater.

CC open house

FARMINGTON – The Franklin County Chamber of Commerce invites its members and others to an open house at the new location, 407 Wilton Road, from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 18.

Refreshments will be served, and there will be a dessert contest with the winner receiving $25 in chamber bucks. Anyone may enter.

New Executive Director Laurie Blake will be there to meet everyone and hear new ideas.

Gospel program

WILTON – A program of southern gospel music will be presented by Ernie Couch and Revival at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 21, at Calvary Hill Baptist Church, routes 2 and 4.
